Tandem is building the first AI assistant for IEP management, helping schools simplify compliance, scheduling, and communication so educators can spend more time supporting students. We’re a small, mission-driven team that believes the right tools can make special education more human, not more bureaucratic. Our culture is collaborative, analytical, and grounded in empathy. Who we’re not

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a marketing generalist with a demand generation specialty who loves experimenting, measuring, and learning fast. You will own our early-stage marketing engine, designing campaigns that attract educators, generate qualified leads, and support both product launches and advisory growth.

This role blends creativity and data. One day you might be building landing pages or refining ad copy, the next you’re mapping nurture journeys and testing messaging. You will work closely with our leadership team to shape the foundation of a scalable marketing motion and establish the systems that will grow with us.

You thrive in ambiguity, learn quickly, and enjoy figuring things out. You are both technical and creative, comfortable analyzing metrics and equally excited to bring ideas to life visually and verbally.

• Design and execute full-funnel campaigns that drive awareness and conversions across email, social, content, and paid channels
• Build and optimize lead-capture and nurture workflows in HubSpot (or similar tools)
• Create content that moves — from newsletters and blog posts to event promos and one-pagers
• Track and analyze performance metrics to continually improve ROI
• Support conference/event marketing (before, during, after)
• Develop and maintain audience segmentation and persona insights
• Collaborate with sales to ensure smooth lead handoffs and aligned messaging
• Stay current on marketing best practices and new tools that can accelerate growth

What you bring

• 3–6 years of experience in marketing, preferably in EdTech, SaaS, or mission-driven startups
• Strong understanding of inbound/demand gen tactics — email automation, lifecycle marketing, paid social, content SEO
• A creative eye and comfort designing in Canva, Figma, or similar tools
• Analytical mindset: confident using data to test, learn, and iterate
• Experience working in HubSpot
• Curiosity and bias toward action — you’re always learning and improving
• Excellent communication and project-management skills
